I generally play Opposition @ El Alamein, (CTF) and oftentimes take a
Buggy or Humvee and "park" in the "garage", (brick building) and defend
the flag... More often than not, someone comes along, sees me at "the
gun", not in the drivers' seat, jumps in and TAKES the vehicle... Who
the Hell does he think he is?

Is it a lack of consideration or just selfishness?

TNT's el alamein mod uses a "swear_guard". They've recently implemented
a 10 minute ban for swearing... The problem IS its NOT intuitive at
all. I've been kicked for typing "Glass" or my state, "Massachusetts",
the swear-guard picks up on the word "ASS" in both of those words, (and
many others') its almost to the point of having to THINK about "what"
swears "may" be "in" any word you type in chat... its Ridiculous...

Speaking of TNT's servers...

They have a heavily modded one, Shotguns can tak out a Tank, Stingers
are "guided" etc., HOW is thie Done, CAN I make a mod/map and alter the
"power" of a weapon to have a "Pistol" take out a "Tank" for example?

HOW does one "fly" a Verticle takeoff Jet, like a helo or a combination
of Helo & Jet, I always crash, very little control, (I use a logitech
extreme 3D pro)...?

the Logitech Wingman extreme digital 3d is betetr than the PRO,
5 bucks cheaper and has the throttle at the side instead of the rear,
and feels nicer in use and lasts longer.
reverse throttle and you go into vector mode,
and hover on a column of exhaust gases,
tilt the Harrier like you would a Helo,
and off you go. the problem is the more reverese throttle you dial in,
the more power, this is opposite to how you use the JS with a Helo,
so is a bit weird, a DIY switch on the JS would help.
practice makes perfect.

Selfishness, stupidity or inexperience. I'd suggest jumping into the
no. 1 position if you see any teammates approaching.

LOL! Poor implementation of a useful feature. I hope nobody mentions
that they are from Scunthorpe ;)

There is a admin / banned words "feature" in Blackbagopps. If they put a "$"
in front of the word they want banned, it will look JUST for that word. If
not, you get what is happening. It will look for it in any spelling. I'm
guessing that is what happened. They probably just forgot the $ in front.
Easy to miss.

I was being usefull, I offered him a tissue.

I mean really.... does he think anyone is going to care about his little
girly fit?

Harden up or don't play the game, it is quite simple...

A bit defeatist that. He raised some valid points about the general
poor co-operation and lack of teamwork that is all too common on
unadminned public servers. And pointed out an example of a badly setup
profanity filter which is useful to those running Battlefield servers.
It was a decent post, and since the group is soooo quiet these days any
on-topic discussion is welcome IMHO.

Good teamwork on a public server is like having an orgasm. :)
Had one last night though :-o
Medics were healing teamies and Engi's were repairing what needed fixing.
Spot message were used plenty.
Oposition had no chance whatsover.

look @ end results;

He might be assuming you're just waiting for a driver. (Artillery is a
different issue.) Does the server have voice comm? If so, be sure to use it
to make sure others know what you're doing.

The forums at http://dontcamp.com/ have nice tutorials for both kinds of
VTOL. Helo's are tough to learn and best learned on your own server. (Just
host one with your client.) But once you get the knack, they're seriously
addictive. You'll find yourself looking forward to Lost Village No Para as
a Coalition pilot, even if you don't get any points for being the bus
driver. Look for the server with "Apache Wars" in the name. All Apaches,
all the time. Have your Stinger/Grail ready!
