I recently update the drivers for my ssd Evo 860.
The Magician program for it , is also having a possibilty of activate the Rapid , TRIM status . Both gave huge score to my ssd. 3930 read- 2750 write speeds.
Is it ok keep on using the proram ? What is the disadnatage of such function. I dont see its using so much ram on task manager.
Any other negative ?

Solution
RAPID Mode simply devotes part of your physical RAM as a cache for the SSD.
Gives great benchmark numbers.
Useless in actual user facing performance.

I tried it for a while. Saw NO actual benefit.
So I turned it off.

TRIM is completely different, and should be left on. It is ON by default. Leave it alone.

Sorry for your time again sir.

When you mean , it is on By default, you mean on the ssd ?
Because on the win 10 wasnt. I didit through cmd. Is it anything else i have to do ?

It should have been ON by default.
Windows knows the difference between an SSD and HDD.

But if you've needed to turn it on manually, and it is ON...good.
Leave it alone.
