s there a utility I can use to monitor disk space consumption? Windows explorer is cumbersome as it neither quickly displays folder sizes or accurately represents when the folders CONTENTS were last updated.

As the title suggests I rapidly hemorrhaging capacity on my boot drive. I have two ssd's and a hard disk. My boot drive is only 256 gigs. I haven't installed any programs in the last 48 hours, I just performed a disk cleanup less than 18 hours ago to the tune of 1.4 gigs, and in that time frame I've lost 1.2 gigs of that free space. Is there a utility I can use to monitor disk space consumption? Windows explorer is cumbersome as it neither quickly displays folder sizes or accurately represents when the folders CONTENTS were last updated.

I do a fair amount of PC gaming so I'm suspecting that possibly an NVidia tool or CAM software is recording video, but it's a real bear to wrap my arms around all of it.

Solution
This program will help you =>https://windirstat.net/index.html. Also system restore may be responsible for this issue. Either way the program I mentioned will help you pinpoint the root cause. Good luck.
If it's something writing to the disk, it'll show up in your task manager. Just click on disk to order the processes by disk usage. To get a clearer picture, you can go to performance tab, click on open resource monitor, Disk and then sort by Write (B/sec).
