Hello,

I want to connect my windows 10 machine to the raspberry pi 3 with ad hoc
(I don't want to connect my pc and my raspberry to a router, I want the communication to be direct)
and I want to share files from my pc to my raspberry pi with SMB.

I already made an ad hoc connection but when I try to connect my pc to the smb shared folder on the raspberry it is not found.

I tested connecting my pc and my raspberry to a router the SMB works great.

So I installed an Access point on my raspberry and I connected my pc to it.
My pc doesn't detect the SMB shared folder but SSH and FTP are working.
when I try to connect to the SMB i get a message saying:

"\\raspberry is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this netwotk ressouce. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

the network address is invalid."

When I ping I get response from the raspberry and SSH and FTP are working.

All I want to do is to connect directly my pc to my raspberry pi 3 to share files over SMB (so I can map a network drive on my pc)

Does someone have any ideas or any tutorial to this problem?
