Review Raspberry Pi 5 16GB Review: Plenty of memory

What about power consumption and thermal performance of the various models? If we are operating a big CPU intensive app that utilizes more than 8GB of RAM, what happens thermally? Does a 'standard' 5A power supply keep up? Is there any significant difference in current draw / leftover capacity for peripherals?

Will it play a 1080p Youtube stream without studdering?

It's going to use less power than the 8 GB model because it has the newer version of the silicon that the 2 GB model also uses. I doubt the 16 GB RAM package makes much of a difference.

I would think 25W would be plenty of power.

Definitely for those who want to do speedy parallel builds of software for RPi on RPi. 8GB is just not enough for all-core builds with LTO.
