3 MP HDR images from a 12MP sensor is very disappointing from an otherwise nice update.
HDR is the main reason camera phones punch above their weight regarding dynamic range and image quality. Perhaps a software limitation which can be overcome with time?

How difficult could it be for the brilliant RPi engineers to add even a basic provision for mounting the lens? For those who haven't used them before, it's a royal PITA to position the lens to actually take a picture.
