The case and project seem pretty cool. That said, I'd probably lean towards the cheaper N100 mini PC options for older games. You should be able to use Linux with WINE and DOSbox to cover everything through the late 2000s with pretty direct support.

You can also use Windows, which allows for even more with the likes of Lunchbox.

I do wish the N305 units were better priced, which can even get you through a lot of PS3 games. At the N305 price there are used gaming hardware options that work better though.
