RAT 7 thumb pad won't stay in place

I'm trying to angle the thumbpad (the part with the precision aim button), but no matter how tightly I screw it in, it eventually goes back to its normal position. That was probably a bad description, I can take pictures if that would help

perhaps it is because the RAT mice are known to fall to pieces.

you're not the first person complaining about them.
