7870 XT would have been possible.

Really??? I have that same motherboard and have had zero issues with it, even transferring it from one case to another.

Hi, worst for the money especially since he won't be OCing, SLI or anything. The mobo is nice but not ideal for his budget.

He could have gotten a better videocard 🙁.

It's not a bad motherboard, it's just unbalanced for that kind of budget, you can find a good am3+ board with 970 chipset for 80-90$, the other ~43$ could be spent in a better gpu, like the 7870 powercolor tahiti le.

It would have been better just to get a better card in 2 to 3 years.

If you don't plan on buying the card within the next year then it's more likely to be phased out.

You could have saved a little on the mb , and then it would have been a 9.5
