Hello community, i have been trying to find the best parts for my 1st selfbuild PC.
So yeah, i have been lurking previews, benchmarks and other threads for quite some time now, trying to get some info on how it all works together.

So this is my current state of progress:

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/SilentWatcher101/saved/2qOW

i think i am almost done but there is some few things that i am not yet so sure about should go into my build...
----------------------
Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card
Corsair Vengance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BL 78.1 CFM CPU Cooler
Corsair Professional 750W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB SSD
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM HHD
Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case
Phanteks PH-F140TS_BL 78.1 CFM 140mm Case Fan (3X)
Asus PB278Q 27.0 Inch Monitor
Fractal Design Adjust 108 (controls 6 case fans)

1) Is my CPU overkill/too much for my build?
2) Is my motherboard good enough/has it enough features, slots and performance?
3) Which one of the EVGA 780 series should i pick?
http://
SC or Classified? What is "dual/double bios"? Also, how does the 780 coop with a 27 inch 2560x1440 50/60Hz monitor? Can i expect around 60FPS for most games. I'll possibly go SLI with this card sometime, but what does the 4-SLI at the OC version mean? Does it mean i can have 4/quad connected?
But feel free to suggest another GPU if you think it would fit better...
4) This one is a classic; 8GB or 16 GB RAM? (Low profile, else i think the RAM will be blocked by my large CPU Cooler) + (i'll use it mainly for gaming) Also, what is the difference between 1600GHz and XXXXGHz... Is the 1600GHz okay/enough?
5) Is the phanteks CPU Cooler really "better" than the Noctura CPU Cooler? It should have some very decent reviews and heat-benchmarks.
6) Is there enough power supply? The pcpartpicker site recommends 486W and i should have 750W... I just see so many buying PSU's with huge amount of WATT output...
7) 128GB or 256GB SSD? (My OS will be on that drive + some of my most used programs/games).
8) How about the HHD i have chosen?
9) Is my case too small... or not? (Can it contain my CPU Cooler?) I have also been looking at the very large (and expensive...) Corsair 900D.
10) Good enough 140mm case fans? Phanteks, Corsair, or something third? I'll possibly go with 2 intakes on the front and 1 exhaust on the back, but is bottom and top fans worth anything (in my case... punz)...
11) The "best" 27 inch monitor? Mind the price...
12) Is the fractal Design Adjust 108 (controls 6 fans) good? (and findable, lol), or should i stick with the fan controller that comes with the case (controls 3 fans)? Please tell me a little bit about how to manage the case fans... (3 and 4 pin connectors???)
13) How do i overclock (i know it is done in the BIOS through), and what is a good and stable GHz for my CPU? (The CPU cooler should keep its end of the bargain)...
14) Any major/minor bottlenecking in my build?

TL.DR --- Improvements/opinions/suggestions. Thank you!

If this is mainly for gaming the i7 is overkill you should go with an i5 4670k
not sure about your graphics cards but a 780 will probably get 60FPS+ in most games on ULTRA at 1080p though (not sure about 1440p)
PSU is probably definitely enough unless you will SLI
ram 8GB is enough but 16GB is nice to have
the 1600mhz is probably fine but lower latency is better eg. CAS 9>10
This is all I can probably help you with 😉

Yea, i were thinking the samme about the CPU... I'll look a little more into it. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts! :)

I have also seen the Maximus VI Hero motherboard, and from what i have seen, it performs very similar with the Gigabyte motherbord that i got on my list... I pretty much just selected the Gigabyte mainly because of aesthetics (the blue). Do you think the Hero board got any usefull features the Gigabyte does not?
Thank you very much for the input regarding my first build! I'll also have a look at the HDD and GPU that you have listed. :)
