1800$ exactly

Just curious as to how you came to that conclusion, could you justify your response?

Good lord the 980ti is over $1000 AUD?!?!?!

If you WANT to spend $1800,

That's what I want it to be able to do without a problem.

Both of you have also only suggested 8gb of ram?

Sure

The Xeon performs almost identically to the i7 4790 but it is way cheaper.
The Asus Maximus VII Hero is a very expensive motherboard and I don't see any reason to get it.
I doubled the size of your ssd.
Couldn't find that specific case so I chose another.
Your psu choice was not very good so I swapped it for a very good one.

So all of that equaled a cheaper, and much more reliable PC.

16GB of RAM is fine if you want. There is plenty of room in my build to add it if you want.

Obviously the 980ti is a better gaming card but geez it's over $300 more expensive. I don't think it's worth it unless you have a 4k monitor or 144hz 1440p.

The only thing that's a problem with the build you've suggested Rhenzer is the 1tb hardrive, would be good to bump it up to 3tb but what could be taken down in price (keeping the same gpu)?
