Case : Not a concern ( compatible )

CPU : AMD FX 9590 4.7/5 GHz ( 8-core )

CPU Cooler : CNPS10X Optima ( 120 mm )

Motherboard : MSI 970 Gaming

GPU : GTX 970 ( 4 GB )

RAM : 2 X 8 GB Corsair XMS ( 1600MHz )

PSU : Turbo-X-PSU 750W Real Series II

Cost : 1500 USD

This was the quote that I got for the custom pc I want to have built. If the price looks weird to you, it is because i am a foreigner and I converted the price to USD. I just wanted to ask the community if you guys think this is a good deal. I'm not a computer expert so I also want to know if I got the compatibility between the parts right ( Which I think I did because I double checked everything ). Lastly I need to know whether the PSU and the CPU cooler fan are strong enough to support the system.

How much future-proofness do you think this will buy me ? Please note that I'm planning on doing hardcore VR gaming with the oculus rift in the future. (Edit : When I say VR gaming I mean minimum 1440p resolution and 50-60+ FPS, keeping in mind that the oculus needs to render 2 screens)

Thanks in advance !

I would suggest going for a different PSU. Something thats 80 PLUS certified and more well known but 750 Watts is enough for the rig you're building. I would also suggest you get a slightly better motherboard only because you're putting very pricy components into it and the motherboard itself isn't on par with them.
The CPU is not good. It is just a marketing tool. It will not perform any better than an 8350 but willrun REALLY hot and be unstable. Get an 8350 for sure.

PSu is junk. Stick with Antec, XFX, Seasonic.

There is no such thing as future proof with computers. Never has been. Some new software or hardware development could come out in a month and cause your computer to under-perform already. Sometimes nothing like that comes out for a while. You never know. This build should last a good while.

The Motherboard is trash. Not only does it not support that cPU, it has poor power phasing. Get a 990fx chipset board.

Thank you for the quick responses !
So according to your suggestions, what if I made these changes to the build :
CPU : FX 8350
PSU : corsair cxm 750w 80+
Motherboard : MSI 990FXA-GD80

Its looking much better already. I don't think the CXM power supplies are junk but it might be better to go with Antec or Seasonic.
