Hello,

I just came on hear to hear some thoughts and opinions on my PC rig. I have recently done some upgrading and am considering upgrading my RAM as well from 16gb to 32gb. I usually only play games, don't stream often if any.. so just would like to hear if there are bottlenecks any where. I will be upgrading my GPU soon as the new 3000 series recently came out, but I am not sure if there may be a suitable 2000 series for now as I am sure the 3000 will be instantly gone again. The specs are as follows.

Thermaltake Core V71 Extreme Full Tower Chassis
MSI PRO Z490-A PRO LGA 1200 Intel Z490 (MOBO) (Recent Upgrade)
Intel Core i7-10700K Comet Lake 8-Core 3.8 GHz (CPU) (Recent Upgrade)
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW DT GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X (GPU)\
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 120-G2-1000-XR 80+ GOLD (PSU)
CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (RAM) (Maybe Add More?)
NZXT Kraken X73 360mm (Cooler) (Recent Upgrade)
SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2 250GB (Storage)
SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 500GB (Storage)
WD Black 2TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive (Mostly Gaming Storage)

Extra's
NZXT AC-HUEPS-M1, HUE+ Smart RGB Color Changing Digitally Controlled LED PC Lighting
BenQ GW2765HT 27-Inch 2560x1440 IPS Monitor, 4ms Main Monitor
Acer S271HL Dbid 27" Secondary

I believe my only bottleneck is the 1080 GPU but I just wanted to see other thoughts! Please let me know what you think!

I dont think there should be any bottlenecks with that setup.

You probly dont need 32gb ram for gaming.

Also a hard disk for gaming storage? games should be most definitely be installed on a SSD drive.

What psu do you have?
What monitor do you have?

I doubt you need a RAM upgrade and if you do it is best to go 2x16 instead of adding and therefore mixing RAM kits. From a gaming point of view the gpu is the weakest part of that build but that doesn’t mean it needs upgrading if it meets your needs.

Thank you, most smaller games are on my SSD but call of duty just won't fit without using up most of the space on my SSD. Thank you for the input though, makes me feel a bit better about my system.

I have a EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 120-G2-1000-XR 80+ GOLD for the PSU and dual monitor setup.
Acer S271HL DBID 27" as my secondary and BenQ GW2765HT 27-Inch 2560x1440 IPS Monitor, 4ms as my Main/Primary
