I plan on building a gaming PC within the next 6 months. It's primary for Street Fighter 5 whenever it comes out. It maybe overkill for that game, but it will be for other games too as afterthought. I want to budget about $2000 USD in this rig, as I want it to last for 7 to 10 yrs without upgrading. I plan on strictly staying at 1080p for gaming, as I think that resolution is good enough imo. I hope can get "medium-high" to "ultra high" with 60 fps settings with this rig for years to come. Plus, it'll be an "all-purpose" entertainment center for movies and streaming up to 4k (future proofing for 4k media content outside of gaming). So here it is on the link with the parts I want to buy. So be on par with "Playstation 7" imo :p Feedback is appreciated.

Although $2000 is the limit, I want to be cost-effective too. What if I replace the ssd with a Seagate Hybrid Drive ST1000DX001 1TB and get rid of the blu-ray drive?

7-10 years without upgrading and playing on 1080p monitor ultra 60FPS+. Keep dreaming

Build from your PC part picker link cant get 60+fps on ultra in Witcher 3, so no way that build will last 7-10 years

what about medium settings for 60 fps for witcher 3? Not too obsess about graphics. When graphic starts taking a drive that it can't match the "Playstation 5", then I think it would be a problem.

I guess what I'm trying to say is will this rig be powerful (or more powerful) than the 9th Gen consoles (PS5, Xbox 3rd) in terms of graphics and FPS. It's too early to say for 9th gen, but we can all safely assume Sony and Microsoft will aim at 4k gaming. But if PS4 and Xbox One taught us anything, they will probably cheap out on their hardware and not achieve 4k at 60fps. they will probably fall back between 1080 and 1440.

Yes it will probably be better but you never know when will they release new COnsole, but i can assure you the wont be aiming for 4k. Even now most of newer games run 30FPS on console and not even 1080p

But seeing how most developer's are already maxing out the 8th gen, i'm thinking they (Sony and Microsoft) will release their next gen console sooner rather than later. Or else, PC games will start purposely getting the "short end of the stick" like Arkaham Knight. hence, why this is a reason for me to keep my games 1080, as it is my sweet spot.

will this pc at least provide PS4 graphics at 1080p 60 fps (depending on how the game is programmed) for 7 to 10 years? The more the better, but PS4 would be my benchmark, realistically speaking.
