Hello,

Can you give honest opinions on my PC, please?
Mobo: Lenovo 4518 (very limited BIOS)
GPU: GTX 1050 ti 4gb MSI
CPU: i5 2500
CPU cooler: Hyper 212 evo (coolermaster)(runs at maximum speed for some reason)
PSU: Corsair CX 450
RAM: 8GB´s of DDR3 1333mhz, runs at 666mhz
CASE: IBOX force 1810
Windows 7 64 bit
*IS IT WORTH UPGRADING RAM?*

Thank you!

Well as always, a "rating" of a PC needs some context about what you're wanting to do with it. Since you have a recent 1050TI in there I assume it's for gaming? I'd say your CPU and GPU are paired well, not like some people who have one crazy outperforming the other. That system is fine for 1080p/60Hz gaming (with the quality settings adjusted of course depending on how demanding the game is). It should run most current games and be playable, BIOS settings don't matter much as the CPU isn't overclockable anyway, and I wouldn't worry about adding RAM as 8GB is sufficient for current games as long as you close other programs and such while gaming.

A main question I'd have is what type of hard drive is your Win 7 on? If it's an HDD then...

Thank you for the info. I have my OS on a HDD, will be looking forward to buying SSD then. Is 256gb enough?

Depends on what you want to do, I'd say. How many games or other big stuff on there at one time, etc. Personally I just upgraded my laptop hybrid HDD ("hybrid" feature wasn't helping that much haha) to a 500GB Sandisk, as it seemed like a good sweet spot for price/capacity/quality at about $120.

It also will depend on how you copy things over. If you're wanting to use the exact same copy of Win 7 and keep everything intact (via a drive mirroring program like Macrium Reflect), you may have some extra stuff on there that might take up more room. But of course you could probably delete old games/media/whatever and still get it to fit on a 256 easily.

Here's the drive I used, though the same drive in 250GB for $75 is a heck of a deal too:

Thank you!
