Hello all,
I have decided to switch to PC gaming this console generation. I have taken basic classes on computer building, but I don't know too much about part shopping. Here are the parts I plan on using. If you have a better deal or a better part suggestion, please reply. My budget is $800 maximum for the actual computer.

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who replied. I liked Maurelie's suggestions so I may go with those. I do have one more question: how do I pick a case? Do I need to do all the measurement math as far as the part components go? I'm new to this kind of thing so bear with me.

Solution
Fine upper mid range build, I would though swap the PSU to something like XFX core edition 550watt or similar that would be plenty for the system.
Here is some suggestion

The only thing I'd necessarily replace there is the old Rosewill Stallion. While a few notches better than "junk," by today's standards it is obsolete. Your system will run well on a quality 500W PSU. I'd recommend Seasonic, Antec, or the new Rosewill Capstone.
A 1TB hard drive won't be much more expensive than the 500GB model.
Make sure the RAM will run at 1.5V. Otherwise, I'm not inclined to niggle; the build will do well.

These parts look good, forgot about the optical drive. How would I go about choosing a case for these parts? What criteria need to be met?
