Hi . I just build a new rig my specs are:
I7 4770k
Asrock z87 pro 4
Corsiar ram 8 g 1600mhz
Coolermaster 550w
Hd ax 7790 tdh

Any suggestions for further upgrades ?
Is the new rig worth the money ??

It's kind of hard to recommend what to upgrade without knowing what the purpose is, but I will assume it's for gaming. You need to spend WAY less on the cpu and WAY more on the video card. You also need a much better psu.

Don't crossfire! Two 7790s is still much slower than a 280x. Also, a better PSU just means you can actually turn the computer on. I would get a 280x and a good 80+ bronze ~650w PSU.

Huntkey isn't a great brand. Get something like a Corsair (non-CX) or Seasonic. Look for 80+ bronze.

The GTX 770 is a bit better performing than the r9 280x and runs cooler and for about the same price

Definitely the XFX. That uses OEM parts from Seasonic, which is one of the best brands out there for power supplies.

XFX 650 with a 280x would work well. Since the current GPU and PSU is from a previous build, I can let that one slide.

My ps just crashed.. or I think it did . It went on for a second and off nothing worked I also tried it on my friends pc doing the same .. im waiting for stock the xfx will take a while . The second best they have in stock is a thermaltake 650 tough power . ?? Wil it be ok ?

The Thermaltake is also a good PSU. Try that one.
