Solution
i’m in Europe specifically UK. Will the i5 bottleneck with the 1660 super or is it a good combo?
B560 / H510 board + 10400F or if you can afford it the 11400F along with 16 GB of 3200MHz CL16 RAM.

What is the total price for that prebuilt and also link to this prebuilt please so we can see if there's other options at a similar price range.

Well the parts i have listed aren’t a prebuilt to buy. I’m going to buy these components to put into my current pc which has budget parts.
I don’t think i have any link to the budget parts build, but i can list them if you need them?

CPU: Ryzen 3 2300X (Stock Cooler)
MoBo: MSI A320M-A-PRO
GPU: Sapphire RX 570 4gb
PSU: Coolermaster MWE 500W 230V
RAM: 8gb RAM (unknown brand) 2x4gb sticks (i think stock 2000mhz cuz it came with the prebuilt.)
1TB HDD
Case: CiT Raider

All this above is what is in the prebuilt right now. The parts i listed first are the ones i’m going to use to replace these ones above.

What country are you located ... the reason I'm asking is if you don't already own that MB you can probably go cheaper with a i5 10400F and get better FPS for cheaper than the Ryzen 3600.

Will the 3600 and 1660 super bottleneck?
Nope Till the last gen RTX 2080 is good to go for the 3600. only the current gen RTX 3060 onwards there is a 15% bottleneck at 1080p, as the resolution go higher it will become GPU bound, for an example RTX 3060 with 5600X will give the same fps as 3600 at 1440p and above due to GPU bound. thats why i asked you to buy 1440p monitor, so that you can upgrade the GPU without bothering about bottleneck.

Ok. I’m only going for 1080p. I’m building this mainly for gaming (obviously) and this should be getting around 240FPS in Fortnite and other games.

The 1660 is a solid 1080P card. CPU wise the 10400F and especially the 11400F will run circles around the 3600 do it for cheaper.
Yeh. To be honest i don’t think i will change out the mobo. I think i will stick with the Ryzen 5 3600, i think it’ll be less hassle but the intel idea would be way better in terms of value but i’m not really looking to go to intel and then also a new motherboard.

Just wondering, motherboards can’t be bottlenecked can they?

If you go with the 3600 then you would want a B550 board + 3600MHz RAM. As far as being 'easy' ... it doesn't get much easier than an Intel build with a locked cpu. Those builds are plug & play not to mention the 3600 is a horrible deal for a gaming cpu when you factor in cost and performance.

Nope motherboard wont bottleneck, and the advantage of buying an 3600 now is you can upgrade to an 5000 series processor in future without changing the motherboard. And remember 5000 series is the last AM4 socket series. next 6000 series will be the new AM5. So the idea is once the 6000 series gets released and if you feel 3600 is not enough and extend you mobo life by upgrading to 5000 series

So overall do you think the build i have said up there at the start is good? If i would have to upgrade anything from it it would be the motherboard right?

Yes your setup is good, if at all when the 6000 series gets released, if you wanna jump to 6000 series you need to upgrade your motherboard. But since you game at 1080p, this is good for next couple of years, after than you can even update ur cpu to an 5800x maybe and then GPU, then new mobo and cpu in future.

Your plan is reasonable.
3600 is supported so no need to change out the motherboard.
Samsung evo is excellent ssd quality as is the new psu.
If I have one suggestion is to consider a 1tb ssd. It will cost you about $45 more.
Repurpose the HDD as external backup.

I would not worry too much about "bottlenecking"
Most games will be limited by the graphics card.
But some games are cpu limited.
Without knowing what games you play, nobody knows.

Thanks. I will be mostly playing Fortnite on this. Fortnite is a cpu dependant game so
