Hello!

I'm new here. I am going to build my own gaming computer to replace the one I have right now (the one I have atm has been there for 11 years now. Time for it to rest in pieces).

So, ehm...Could you please kindly rate my new rig? It's for gaming purpose. This will be my very first customized rig, my very first gaming computer.

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (3.7 GHz)
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK
DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX, Noir, 2 x 8 Go, 2666 MHz, CAS 16
Be Quiet ! Shadow Rock Slim
Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, 1 g
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 8 Go
Seagate BarraCuda, 2 To
Samsung Série 860 EVO, 250 Go, SATA III
Corsair Carbide 275R Acrylic Window, Black
Seasonic Focus Plus 650 Gold, 650W

Thank you very much! :)

im building a similar ryzen 7 2700x rig atm.

was wondering if i need a new cpu cooler as ive heard the stock fan looks cool and performs well unless your video editing or manual overclocking.

the cooler you've chosen is priced around the same as the wraith prism cooler the ryzen comes with so maybe check its gonna be better than the stock.

I believe the one that comes with the 2700x is quite noisy. That's why I took one that would do the job without being too loud. Plus, having two coolers will definitely be useful if I wanna Overclock my CGU and / or my CPU. This should give the rig another two years of longevity, I believe.

Note: You will probably need a bracket for the AM4 socket. But that isn't any different than using the Shadow Rock Slim cooler, although the FUMA will keep the CPU cooler for not much more €.

Intel will get you the fastest IPS... thus, slightly higher frame rates...

Oh no not at all. AMD's Wraith Spire cooler is one of the better coolers out there, and in some cases is actually better than a lot of aftermarket fans you can buy. And you can't use CPU coolers on GPUs, that does not work.

That rig overall is pretty solid. I have the B450 Tomahawk and it's a very solid offering for $100 or less.
