To be fair the other build was already overkill just for gaming, now you made it 500 dollars more expensive. Now yes it would game really well at 1440p, but so will i7-4790k + GTX 980 Ti.

That's up to you though. For DDR4 RAM go 2800+ Mhz instead of 2400. Make use of the given potential for high memory clock speed.

Perhaps a CPU fan controller and you're good.

Here an example of a good price/performance ratio high-end build:

About 600-700 dollars cheaper for the same performance, imagine.
Performance/price ratio: 5/10
Overall build ratio: 8.5/10

Pretty sure you can make a i7-5820k 6-core processor + GTX 980 Ti at the same budget with also quality components.

For overall ratio, increase RAM speed to 2133 Mhz or higher. The H100i GTX is good but I would prefer a Swiftech.

Why do u want 7 dinky 120 mm fans when u can install something like that
http://www.xoxide.com/360mm-case-fan-blue.html. I would get higher wattage psu so when u switch to 4k and add another 980 ti u don't have to buy a new one. Also no point in water cooler for ur cpu, air works just fine

My thoughts... Good MoBo, CPU and cooler. Case is obviously to your preference.

Upgrade the RAM to 2400 speed, and the SSD to a 500GB or greater (to load more games on for pure performance and next to 0 load times).

But those are very minor, that's a pretty high power (and very OC friendly) build.

yea i hear what ur saying , i just like the rgb lights on the tracers, can u suggest some good ram with that speed that have cool leds on them?

They also do a "Mark S" which are limited edition. and is white camo.

yea thats a good pioint, ill look for some better fans, and i def feel ya on the upgraded psu and the reason i have the water cooling is for the leds on it i like the way it looks

well im going for a black and purple kinda theme for this one but that does look cool

jesus that's an expensive case! i haven't paid that much for one since 2001 and my ATCS-built all-aluminum Coolermaster was considered l33t.

I'd get an EVGA G2 PSU; not only are they built by PSU-gods Superflower, but you can brand/theme match with your motherboard.

I've personally had my issues with crucial ram sticks; I usually prefer Kingston for stock or mild OC; if you want to get adventurous usually G.Skill or sometimes Mushkin is the way to go. Currently I'm rocking A-Data XPG v2 DDR3-2400 modules and they are sexy running 2400 data rate straight off the XMP profile

hmm the 5820 does seem better

yea lmfao the case is giant! that why i like it so much
