Recently I sat down and talked with an acquittance of mine about a very old Asus netbook and the thing is that a while back I actually had it for cleaning because it wasn't powering on nor was it properly if ever powered on.I am not some kind of wiz kid genius by no means but have learned something by trail and error.Anyways he said that the board is damaged due to high cleaning and that the board communicates through the plastic its build on.Is that really true or is it some pish and bullocks

Excuse the dum question

If you damage that it's very possible that it would not work. That is the PCB board (Printed Circuit Board) it contains copper connections, those are the lines, between the variances components that are on the board.

How did you go about cleaning it? You should not have used water, but if you did you can usually avoid damaging the part by ensuring it is completely dry before powering it back up.

Well I mainly used the ear wipes to clean it.I used alcohol I mean that type that evaporates fast and yes I have used water to clean it but I stuck it in rice (covered from the top to bottom) for 3 days near my heater.
So could it be my fault?

It looks like you took some precautions but it's impossible to rule out that by cleaning it you broke it. What was on the board which required it to be cleaned? If it was that bad perhaps it was damaged by what ever was on the board that you removed. I personally would not have used water, sticking with alcohol is a safer bet.

There is also the slight chance that static from your body caused a shock to damage something on the board, whenever I mess around with electronics I don't bother attaching the static strap or anything but there is still a possibility that it can be damaged from static.

It was cover cola or something blackish and sticky all over the board.I tried to rub it out with a rather great force but it still powered on after the cleaning.

Anyway that sounds so dumbfounded the static from my body is that even a real thing.I mean is it enough to damage a board?

The static electricity from your body is enough to damage electronic components, generally if you keep yourself grounded or touch a large grounded object every few minutes your chances of actually damaging the component are reduced but if you are working on carpet/ have socks on you can generate enough charge.
