Hello everyone, a few months ago i had to change my psu (750W) so a friend gave me a cheap psu (650W) that he was planning to use on a build.

The "new" psu is (3-4 years old) but it has not been used, the box was not even open.

My problem is when i'm playing a game i can hear this rattling sound coming from the psu, if i put my hand over the back of the psu and press the sounds seem to go away.

Can this damage the computer ? is there any solution that i can use for this?

Here's a video of the rattling :

Tell me if you can actually hear it

Usually.....mechanical rattling or buzzing dues to a loose part or panel generally doesn't hurt anything.

If you press on it and it goes away....that's probably what it is.

Maybe there is a way you can secure it permanently.....so you don't have to press on it.
