I recently found my hard drive light running continuously.
I checked with "Process Monitor" (ProcMon from MS Sysinternals) which revealed that "RaUi" was continuously and repeatedly doing the following:

RegOpenKey ...... HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment
RegQueryValue...HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment\PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE
RegQueryValue...HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment\PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE
RegCloseKey...... HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment

It then IMMEDIATELY repeats this group of commands many times, sometimes filling a whole page!!
Since RaUi is part of the wireless adapter programming, I checked with "TCPview" (again from Sysinternals) which shows only
occasional TCP/IP activity (every few seconds).

So what I'm seeing is not the wireless adapter in continual conversation with wireless router( almost no TCP/IP activity), but rather
the RaUi software trolling the registry continually for the processor architecture even though it successfully recives the answer.

Any suggestions what is happening here?
Thanks
