RAW CD Image (3.1 GB) while downloading, now its 0 bytes.

I damaged my original windows 7 DVD. So I was forced to download an image file from the internet and use my product key. But when I downloaded, it showed 3.1 GB. After the download completed, I unplugged the USB and in the morning the ISO file shows 0 bytes on my drive. But the USB in all is 3.1 GB full! How to resolve this? I am on SLAX linux now!

I do know all this. My issue is not this. The ISO image I downloaded is 0 bytes now. but my USB still has 3.1 GB inside it.

It might be a problem with the USB flash drive. Is the file reporting the correct size on your HDD? You could also try redownloading it again, just in case this file was damaged somehow during the download process.

I am so sure that it was not damaged while downloading... I checked it myself yesterday night. It happened this morning :/

Hmm, that's a bit odd. Try replicating the whole process by following the info from this guide: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery, to see if the same thing happens again. It also has a link on how to create Windows 7/8 ISO file on a USB flash drive or a DVD.
Also, I'd recommend that you use a different USB flash drive if possible, just in case.

OEM copy cannot be downloaded that way :/ Dell turned me down too... so I am forced to do this way. And thanks anyway, I fixed it by doing a chkdsk
