Hey i have a quick question what kayboard is louder the Black Widow Chroma or just the normal black widow or are they both the same? thanks :)

cherry mx blue keys are loud but feels nice while using...
suggestion would be the ultimate not the chroma.
multi color looks sad

keyboards are used for typing not for a color show... 😛

Actually it's for both if someone cares a lot about looks and lights? That's just pure performance, no fun at all.

^ This.

And I actually like the loud clicky sound + the lights (I've got the ME3 Special Edition BW Ultimate).

Lit keyboards are also nice if you play in a dark room. I don't really look at the keyboard that often, but it just feels weird when I can't see the keys that well whenever I do look down.

Yeah, I can't use a keyboard that doesn't have lights, I am usually still on until like 12 am, so the lights are useful. ME3 as in Mass Effect 3? That's cool, didn't know they have one for that, but I saw the one for BF4.

Yea, my favorite color is red, so when I saw a red back-lit blackwidow ultimate, I just had to buy it. It was the same price as a normal blackwidow ultimate, too. The BF4 edition one looks pretty nice as well.

I have the Chroma, I like the wave of Chroma moving across my keyboard like an ocean :) Also, have you updated your Razer Synapse recently? I'm not sure if you got the new effect for your keyboard, but I got the ripple. I think that's totally cool that when I press a key it ripples like water from that key to the rest of the keyboard, and when I'm typing normally, my keyboard is like having a party with all of those colors :)

Personally I love the Chroma keyboard with the clicky keys, love the feeling and sound of them, and best of all is the lighting effects you can make.

Haha yea once I had made some custom lighting profiles and downloaded some I knew I had to get this to youtube so people could see what you could do with the new Chroma Configurator in the Razer Synapse program.

Also if anyone wants custom user made profiles go here

In the forum look through and you'll find links to user made profiles everyone has been making.

It's definitely been fun playing around with it for sure, takes a little experimenting to figure things out. So when you're in the Chroma Configurator you can add layers to the keyboard, and each layer can be a different effect and you can selectively choose the key(s) you want to use per layer and what effect you want them to do.

One thing to keep in mind is when you add your layers and effects, you will want your static color to be the bottom layer, since it will overlap all your other effects if you keep it at the top, so in order to have a ripple effect with the static background you would create a layer with all keys set to static with your chosen color, then another layer with ripple as your effect, then just make sure your ripple layer is on top of the static layer it will work like you see in my video (you can left click and drag the layers to re-position the effects).

Okay, sounds interesting, time to do some experiments :)
