My brand new Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition 2014 has an early problem. When i first tryed to plug it in, it disconnected all my other USB Devices. After that i tryed to reboot my PC with the keyboard already attached and it lit the Razer logo light up. While trying to install the necessary Razer Synapse 2.0, there was an error message of a power surge in my USB port. It again, shut down all of my ports and i had to restart again. I tryed to connect the keyboard to all the back ports which were gaming device ports( unique to MSI Gaming motherboards with more gold) and some 3.0 ports but nothing, ALWAYS shutting down the ports and I had to restart every time. About to return and change this thing for a new one, but is there anything I could do to make sure this isn't a wire problem?
By the way, both ends of the keyboard wire, both the usb side and mini usb for the keyboard, get heated up. My old sidewinder which i used before this, doesnt heat up from its USB end at all. So is this an wire problem i can fix with a new keyboard because the sidewinder takes almost 7x times more power so it shouldnt be a PSU or mobo issue?

Solution
With connectors getting heated, I'd conclude a short in the keyboard circuitry and would look to RMA the keyboard, that is definitely not normal behavior

Thanks, that's just what I did and I received a new one 3 days ago. Works great now.
