I have a Razer Blade 17 QHD with a 3080ti mobile card and a 240 hz 1440p display but am running into issues with external monitors.

I have a 4k 60 hz monitor and 1080p 60hz monitor connected via USB-C dongle + DisplayPort 1.4 cable and an HDMI cable (laptop HDMI port) respectively along with the 1440p 240 hz laptop display. This configuration does not work as I have to set the 4k display to 1440p @ 60hz in order to run all three displays.

I'm looking to replace one of my current displays. Is there a way to calculate what the maximum resolution and refresh rate of monitors my laptop supports?

Thanks.

Solution
Dongle, though I have tried only using the dongle with the displayport 1.4 to the 4k panel and am having the same problem. The 1080p panel is connected separately on the laptop's HDMI port as well.
That dongle may have limitations. Those don't provide a direct DisplayPort or HDMI connection to USB-C (except maybe if both are using Thunderbolt)

EDIT: Went and did some more reading on this just to make sure, found https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#USB-C. The jist of it is, USB-C can provide both DisplayPort and USB, but the DisplayPort interface has reduced bandwidth.

By USB-C dongle, is it something that has a bunch of other ports on it or is it a straight USB-C to DisplayPort cable? If it's a thing with a bunch of ports, that may have its own set of limitations. I don't think those provide a direct connection.

Thanks, looks like I'll need to find a better cable
