everyone always sais this, do some research and you will find if you update the graphics driver it is much better
Trust me, I didn't give in easily. I loved EVERYTHING else about the Razer so I toyed with drivers, settings... I work with 20 software engineers and we all tried are best to get it to look ok. All solutions were a trade off: ex: finally got the contrast to work for me, lost half the grey levels :/
After doing some research I discovered that Razer decided to use this screen and amp up the brightness on it to get it to look good when there are lots of whites on the screen (which btw - it does look good like this). Trouble for me was the darks. I want my darks to be deep darks. On the Razer, the darkest you get is grey. Maybe now there is a newer driver, but Razer ups the brightness by design. They wanted to optimize the screen for you out of the box, and this seemed to be the best balance the screen can do. If you play dark games (I'm a Civ 5 addict and the game is very text based with white on top of black) you may have trouble getting the screen to really pop for you.
