Beem seeing a lot pof talk lately aboy L3 cache and its importance in gaming. since the onmly qwaty to really increase it is with a new cpu, i started looking at optimization software. Razer Cortex popped up so i ownloaded it to try out. i was surprised at how much it helped. i was averaging 50fps in Witcher 3 on high settings. ran th optimizer and started the game and suddenly i was averaging 70fps, a marked improvement. My current CPU has 32mb l3 cache and i got a killer deal on a 9 5900 x(i wad looking at a 5700x3d also, but founf thjis 5900xfor over a hundred cheaperwith 64mb l3 cache, so i expect to see a larger improvement still. going from 32mb to 64mb l4 cache

My OS is Windows 11

There are many other things that can affect performance.

You may or may not see (or be able to see) additional improvement.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List all attached peripherals.

Wired or wireless network?

There may be other thoughts and suggestions offered. However the starting point is to know about the full specs of your gaming system.

I am not having slowdown issues, I was simply pointing out that this utility works really well for tweaking your memory without physicaly adding more l3 cache, whicjh is something i am actively in rhe process of doing myself. alkways trust hardware over software to do the job right

If it helps, then use it. Many times, such applications actually cause more harm than good.

Your experience confirms YMMV.
indeed. often these programs in an effortr to free up memory can urn off somwething important and reduxce stabuility. but Razer has a goof rep with gamers, so i waswilling to try it and was pleasantly surprised
