The mouse wheel to my Razer deathadder 2013 broke, and when I scroll, there is no resistance on it, and nothing registers except mouse3. The warranty was gone on it, so i tried to take it apart to see if I could fix it. I looked up a tutorial, and only tutorials for older mice were posted. When I tried to take the circuit board out to take the mouse wheel out, it wouldn't come out becuase it looked like there was a small board keeping the mousewheel in, which was keeping the whole thing inside the mouse case. Any help would be appreciated!

This just happened to me today. The hexagonal end of the scroll wheel axle is tiny and it broke. This seems like a super common problem since there are a million people in China selling replacement DeathAdder 2013 wheels on ebay. Just looking at it, I'm amazed it lasted so long.

The three philips screws holding the bottom are under the two little teflon feet and under the main label sticker just to the right of the FC certification logo. Take those out and the bottom pops off, then you have one tiny black philips screw holding the LED board that lights up the wheel. Pop out the wheel, use a paper clip to push the broken hex bit out of the scroll sensor, and pop in your new wheel.

If you don't want to wait for a wheel from China, you can push an allen wrench shaft through the axle and melt/glue in place. It's 1.75mm or 1.8mm, so good luck finding the right size allen key.
