Razer Deathadder 2013 randomly scrolls up or down the page infinitely

Hey.
this issue has been happening for a few months now and it's starting to become very annoying and frustrating, especially when playing games that require scrolling or web browsing. It only occurs on the window that I'm focused on and can sometimes be stopped by holding down control. I've pretty much narrowed it down to my mouse because I've tried it with different keyboards, have uninstalled and reinstalled Razer Synapse multiple times, and have updated to the latest version of Windows 10. None of these things have seemed to have any noticeable effect on the frequency of it happening. I'm just hoping it's a software problem and that I don't have to get a new mouse. Any help would be appreciated

The Deathadder 2013 has been known to have issues with the scroll wheel (and double clicking).
Its an old mouse that really wasnt well built to begin with.

I would recommend something new.

I just went out this afternoon and bought a new Deathadder Elite. After about a half hour of use I ran into the same issue. Any other advice?
