Recently I've tried to use my deathadder chroma, but the drivers won't install. When I plug the mouse in it recognizes the device, searches for drivers, then says that it can't find / won't install them. I've tried uninstalling razer synapse and reinstalling it, same problem. The closest I've gotten to installing is when trying to update drivers, it would start to download them, then the message "the syntax of the INF is invalid" would pop up and my driver won't install.

I use windows 7, and I also use another razer product (razer kraken headset) that works fine with/without synapse installed. I have 2 spare mice that I also tried to use, but those drivers won't install either, so not sure what the issue going on is.

Thank you for anyone who takes the time to respond to this post and assist me.

What is the source of the drivers you are downloading? Should be the manufacturer's website, make sure. No third party sites.

Also double check that you have selected the correct driver. Can be tricky at some sites with lots of choices (languages, versions, updates, beta's) poorly identified and labled. Easy to click the wrong choice.

There are rules for INF files, e.g.,:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff544990(v=vs.85).aspx

If you are at the manufacturer's website and have identified and downloaded the correct driver then you may need to contact support and see if a corrected INF is available.
