Razer Headphones Not Working

Hi,

I recently bought a pair of Razer Kraken Chromas 7.1, and they are not working properly.
I can hear sound from them and the microphone works fine except for some games not going playing sound through the headphones (the playback device is set) and windows (8.1) is giving me a message saying the drivers are not working properly, I also can't hear sound from razer synapse.

They were not working at all previously but thanks to the Razer support team Its slightly working now.

I have a Acer V3-571G

- i5 24500 @ 2.5 GHz
- nVidia GT 640m 2 GB
- 8 GB ddr3
- Samsung SSD 256 GB

The Razer Kraken Headset drivers, which I have tried uninstalling.

OK - the headset has its own drivers?

Tried uninstalling? What with - Uninstall programs or in Device manager?

Motherboard? 15 2450m? Is this a laptop? What make and model?

Make sure, in Windows sound settings, that your playback and recording devices are not "allowing programs to take exclusive control" (or something in similar words). If it's checked, when using multiple programs, something will always take priority over another & sound won't work correctly for other applications.
