Razer Kraken microphone takes output sound instead of my voice.

my friends can only hear the sounds my computer is making over things like Skype and discord. I also recorder me speaking into the microphone and played it back and only heard the music i was playing in my headphones.

Check the sound settings and ensure the you select the desired input as the default.
