Razer Kraken pros mic bad

I bought razer kraken pros last year at Christmas, the mic quality has been really bad since the beginning of 2015, does anyone know of a fix? and no the cable isn't internally snapped

The Razer Kraken Pros aparently have a bad microphone

I've got the Razer Kraken Chroma 7.1 and is advertised to have a new and improved microphone.

So my solution would just to either put up with it or get a new headset.
