I recently purchased a Razer Mamba 2012 and I fell in LOVE with it. The mouse feels great in the hand and is extremely responsive in wireless mode! I feel very accurate with this mouse in FPS games and I thought nothing could be wrong with this mouse!
Until one day.. I was in a competitive CS:GO match (if you abandon these matches you receive temporary bans up to 7 days!) and Razer Synapse crashed.. The mouse defaulted to the basic drivers which reset my DPI from 1600 to 3600! So I proceeded to un-plug and re-plug the mouse in and it took 6 minutes for Razer Synapse to load all my settings including the DPI.
After I finished the game I realized that every time I booted my computer it took the mouse upwards to minute to warm up. This also happened when you unplugged the dock from the PC.
This greatly bothered me because I had read the the mouse contained ON-BOARD MEMORY.
Paying a $130 premium for a mouse shouldn't have delay issues when my $10 Walmart mouse instantly works.
I went into Razer Synapse and tried saving my profiles to the on-board memory but to no avail. Even in "offline" mode the mouse would default to basic drivers for upwards to a minute.
I found that in order to save profiles to the on-board memory you must use Razer Mamba Configurator.

IF you have already used Synapse 2.0, you must reset the mouse by pressing and holding the left and right clicks and the middle click while plugging the cable directly into the mouse. HOLD until the driver installation pops up. Let the installation finish then proceed to unplug the mouse and plug in the dock and wait about a minute or two for it's installation.
Now use the offline driver above to customize everything and it will save to the on-board memory! not the cloud.
I went further and uninstalled Synapse 2.0 because it is useless and a piece of JUNK!
Now everytime the mouse is unplugged and plugged back in it saves and loads your profiles nearly instantly like a normal $10 mouse 😀
ENJOY AND NOW YOU ARE "FREE TO FRAG" 😀 without Razer Synapse Poop.
