When I try to switch my color of the lights on my Naga Epic from Spectrum Cycling to a solid color, the color just stops where it was in Spectrum Cycling and doesn't change to the proper color I selected. When I switch back to spectrum cycling it switches to the solid color I chose starts spectrum cycling like normal from there.

For instants If I want it on a solid green color. I select green from the menu, and the color stops on the color it was currently on when it was cycling. lets say it was cycling on red when I switched. so now instead of switching to green like it's supposed to, its stuck on the red where it stopped. when I switch it back to spectrum cycling. it goes from the red it was stuck on to the green I choose and starts cycling colors from there.

This is my first actual gaming product for pc let alone first razer product so I'm not used to any of this and I may be missing something simple. any help would be appreciated. was having more problems earlier and uninstalled and re-installed synapse 2.0 and everything is working except for this.

Thanks in advanced

Solution

The cycling works properly, the solid color does not, that is my problem

Thats what I meant set the color to what you want. shut your computer down and restart see if that sets it correctly. It may be the opposite problem but both are related to the color changing yours from cycle to solid his solid to cycle. It is a quick and easy check to see if that works.

I'll try that later, I just don't want to have to restart everytime I want to change colors also my doc doesn't want to charge my device idk its buggy.

Ya synapse is not the greatest software in the world though it does seem to handle macros fairly well. Does weird things on the small stuff like lights though.

I did the following to get the lights to work, bought one for xmas and wasted an entire day on this. Very little help from website or support; you'd think it would work better out of the box for a $130 dollar mouse, and better customer service... my next mouse is definitely not going to be anything from razer. I basically downgraded the firmware for the dock to v1.01 and for the mouse to v1.04. Links are provided below. Just follow the installer and have a secondary mouse in handy. Good luck!

Solution

ThankYou everything works perfectly on my mouse except for the solid color and honestly after using it for a while, I don't think I'd use it that often anyways, so instead of going through the trouble and trying to fix something I probably won't use, I'm just going to keep it like it is. It's not that big of a deal to me as I thought. Also I don't think the doc charges my mouse either which also isn't important because the only time I'd use the charger is when I go to bed and I shut off my computer when I do and I think the computer has to be on to use that so. Plus I don't think I would use that really either so. Also I wouldn't stop using razer products really. This is just a matter of an old mouse trying to run on new software type deal. I got the blackwidow chroma for Christmas and everything works flawlessly exactly like it should. The new naga epic chroma would probably work just as good too but I'm just guessing. I may try your solution in the future but It's not that necessary to attempt to fix something that already works for features I probably won't even use.

On a different note, synapse 2.0 automatically allocates 512mb of ram to Java programs so if you play minecraft then it'll only allocate 512mb of ram which is horible. No way to fix this until razer does ;-; but if you close synapse, start the Java program, then start synapse when it's done then you're good. Or just set global Java parameters in system preferences and restart. Both worked for me. Just FYI
