Solution
I've used a razer deathadder since 2010 (3 different versions) and recently switched to the Logitech g502 2 weeks ago.
I use a cloth mousepad so it isn't slippery like other hard mouse surfaces, I also have very large hands.

Deathadder: Simple ergonomic mouse with two side buttons that are easily accessible with my hybrid claw/palm grip. Controllable scroll wheel. Decent size mouse with both width and length. Doesn't move very well on my cloth style mouse pad. Would be better on hard surface.

G502: Feels much different than the deathadder, the grip on the mouse is a bit more narrow, but I've found that the narrowness has allowed me to control the mouse better with my hybrid style grip(May be difficult to use with a palm grip). I play all my games with low dpi/sensitivity. There are more buttons on the G502 that you can program however you want. There are two dpi switch(by default) buttons that I don't use at all, and the two side buttons are useful but not as easily accessible as the deathadder(could be me getting used to it). I use the side button as a melee in my fps games. The G502 moves around a lot better on my cloth style mouse pad than the deathadder, maybe to do with the weight and feet on the mouse. But I love the way the mouse moves and gives me a ton of control. The ONE thing I hate about this mouse, is the scroll wheel. It is a metal scroll wheel that continuously scrolls with no resistance(if I spin it hard, it will sit there and spin for 30 seconds).

After using both mice, I find the G502 to be much better for my style grip and has helped me improve my aim in FPS games. The shape and movement of the mouse (most important) is much better on the G502. However I prefer the side buttons and scroll wheel on the deathadder. The G502 also feels much higher quality than the deathadder.

Hope this helps, hope its not too hard to follow lol.

So in one word deathadder chroma or g502

G502 In my personal opinion.

Hey, I know that I'm really late but just in case you didn't know, the G502 has two scroll modes: Normal and hyper scroll.
The button directly behind the scroll wheel turns on hyper scroll and then turns it off if you click it again. Hyper scroll is unrestricted and is used for long wiki pages etc. You must've accadentily pressed it. You've probably already figured that out after a year but still. Just in case lol

Haha thanks man, I did figure that out eventually. I actually ended up switching to a Zowie EC1-A from the G502, it was too heavy for me and was giving me shoulder pain after playing a lot of FPS.
