Re: chkdsk for windows 7, (specifically when it runs itself upon startup in the case when it is *not* initiated by the pc user.) Will this chkdsk ask me if I want to repair, before repairing, or is this an automated process that attempts to complete repairs?
I would definitely rather have the choice to select whether or not I want it to run through the actual repair at that time, I am afraid of losing files on my system if it runs the repair automatically.
Also - do you know why sometimes pressing any key to stop the chkdsk from starting, may not always work? I have found this to be the case before, where I could not stop a chkdsk from running. Thank you for your responses, I greatly appreciate it!
