Re-installed Windows 8, switchable graphics not installed, shows Microsoft Basic Display Adapter instead.

Re-installed Windows 8, switchable graphics not installed, shows Microsoft Basic Display Adapter instead. When I install 13-9_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql, it shows me error "Application Install: Install package failure". Should I install Intel HD 4000 driver first?

Here were my switchable graphics in the original Windows 8:


1. AMD Radeon HD 7670M
2. Intel HD 4000

Did you reinstall the drivers yet? And I believe you are supposed to install the drivers for the Intel graphics first.

That's what I thought, I'm going to download the Intel HD 4000 drivers and tell you what happens.

So I installed the Intel HD 4000 graphics, worked fine, then I tried to install 13-9_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql which gave me the same "Application Install: Install package failure" again. :/

I'm assuming you downloaded them from AMD? Try the drivers from the laptop's manufacturer's site.
