Re Installing windows on a HP Pavilion 5000

Hello everybody, A few day's ago my computer fell and the hard drive stopped working, lucky for me i have all of my files saved on a ssd that i installed inside my computer(the OS was on the Hard Drive because it is a pre-built computer).
So i took out the hard drive and placed all of the files inside the ssd on my friend computer and formatted it. Now i have an empty ssd inside my computer but the problem is that i don't have windows installed on my computer.
Is there any way to re-install windows without buying it again???. Thanks to anyone how can help me .

What ver. of windows was it? If it was windows 10, you can use the media creation tool.
Go Here , official MS website. Scroll down to where it says "Need to create a USB, DVD or ISO?" and click the Download Tool button. After it finishes, launch it, accept the terms, and select the option to "create installation media for another pc" so you can put it on a DVD or USB to reinstall on your HP

My Windows Version was Windows 8 but i upgraded to Windows 10, does it matters?

It shouldn't. On 8 and 10, the Windows product key is tied to the motherboard. During the installation it'll ask for a key, but one of the options should be "I don't have a key". Select that and it should activate later after the install is complete, because it will look to see if there's one on the board. If not, there are ways to extract the key from the board.

PLEASE HELP!! i got a problem where it said that window could not be installed on this partition and i followed a tutorial to fix this using the commend promt and now it says that window could not be installed on this disk because it has an mbr on it, the thing is that it showed 2 drives, one was my ssd and the other was mbr something and now i only see my ssd and the mbr is now longet there!!!, did i screw something up??? I AM REALY AFRAID

You already got the data off the drive right? Just try deleting all partitions on it and try again. All that's left in the laptop is the one SSD right?

so i need to press the X button in the custom installment of window? i want to be sure

then yes. Just get rid of any partitions and make a new one by hitting "New"

The X in the corner will close the setup and restart the pc

See if it auto activated by right clicking start, and going to "System" at the bottom of that screen it'll have the activation info
