Re installing windows xp on a machine with windows 7 installed

im currently running windows 7 home premium 32bit, however the game i have (microsoft train sim and numerous add ons) dont work with the compatibilty mode. i've spent alot of money on the add on packs so im not prepared to just throw them away. is it possible to create a dual boot drive?.. when i try to use the windows xp as normal on loading the usual drivers it just blue screens everytime and wont let me do anything apart from restart. HEEEEEEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

The easiest option is to run xp in a virtual desktop using Microsofts virtual PC,or VM Ware
