Hello, my name is Sonia and I need help reinstalling windows. When I put in
the Windows XP CD, and try to reinstall, it tells me it's not able to
reinstall because the version of Windows on the CD is older than my version.
How can I delete my new version and install the old one (I am sure I want to
do this). Please list EVERY way to do this. Thank you, and I am desperate!

After backing up any important data to an external storage device,
simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

Boot with it in the drive and your BIOS set to boot from the CDROM drive
first.

You should first make sure you have backed up everything important to you
(emails, documents, contacts, pictures, etc) and you have downloaded SP2 (in
full) and burned it to CD for installation before ever getting back on the
internet (or you could slipstream/integrate SP2 into your installation CD
and thus start from an SP2 system.)

Listing every way to do this is not going to happen in a newsgroup. Use
Google. Search for "How to perform a clean install of Windows XP".

Like this:

or this:

or this:

And the list goes on.......
