Does the HP photosmart 8450 use all 8 inks when printing Photo's
or only the 6 colors .... keeping the #99 PhotoBlack purely for B&W photos

When printing with the color, photo and gray cartridges it will use eight inks
in photo mode. The gray inks provide additional detail and dynamic range to
the prints.
