Hello,
i have been bought the sims 3 for xmas but it won't run on my computer as my graphics card (radeon X600) is not compatible. can anyone recommend an upgrade that would be suitable ?

Depends on how much money you can put on it. GTX660 would be an excellent choice if you have the money for one.

sims 3 would run perfectly fine even on a 7750.

You don't want to spending a hundred on a piece of hardware just to run a single game though... unless you do? I'd buy something more capable so you don't need another upgrade for the next game after that.
