Real power consumption?

So I was checking power consumption for r9 290's and I found two different results
1) http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2014-vga-charts/24-Power-Consumption-Maximum,Marque_fbrandx350,Prix_fpricex350b99999,3616.html in here the r9 290 tri-x power consumption is 260 max
2) and here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-290-and-290x,3728-4.html
the max power consumption is 336, which one of them is correct?
Which one of them should I use to calculate my system power consumption? Are they both correct?

First link is r9 295x2, do u have one that shows r9 290?
In the second link they write that a 750 min power supply is required, I dont think the entire system will use more than 550W, so a 750W is alot, isnt it?

What do u mean? Is the card I want in there? Yes, the r9 290.
750W is alot for a single r9 290, im not going to overclock cpu, not going to watercool or any other stuff.
I just want to know which one of the links I posted is correct, do you know?
 
Technically they are both correct in their situation.
Some games and applications may require a slightly less power draw than others. The max wattage you can give to a R9 290 is 375 Watts due to its PCIE connectors and the PCIE slot.
Also how far you overclocked the R9 290 will change the power consumption as well.

Obviously power consumption changes, in this case 260w should be the highest power consumption, but in my 2nd link it reaches 336w while gaming.
when I checked gaming power consumption chart(http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2014-vga-charts/23-Power-Consumption-Gaming,Marque_fbrandx350,Prix_fpricex350b99999,3615.html) it says 240W, so which one of them is correct? 336W or 240W?
Someone knows why is there a 100W difference?
 


Overclocking the card can make that difference.
I believe out of the box it around 240W.
The highest you can go is 375 Watts for a R9 290.

I know overclocking will increase power consumption, that's not what I'm asking.
Both of the charts I gave use the same card and same clocks, but there is still 100W difference.
Anyone who knows 1ms test they used? That test is the only place I saw that high power consumption, in all other reviews system power consumption was max 400, but in this one the card alone reaches 350W, why is that?
 
The card itself can ask to draw up to 375 Watts.
The card can have a peak wattage of 300+ watts.
System power consumption is an average reading in most reviews. You don't have a constant power draw. If your game suddenly demands more processing, it draws more power. If you got a black screen, it doens't have to do as much work so less power draw.
The 2nd link actually shows 215W average power draw.

You shouldn't need to worry if you get a decent 550W power supply. 650W power supply if overclocking cpu and gpu.

It can ask up to 375W, that doesn't mean it actully draws that amount of power.
In the 2 links I sent they checked max power consumption, not average, and the difference remains the same.
So what's the difference between these 2 tests? I know 2nd one checks 1ms peaks, but I'm not sure if it's only the card's power consumption or it includes something else, and why is there a 100W difference in the same website.

Does someone has an answer? Should I take 1ms test into consideration, or should I go with the other test and pretty much every other test in other websites? Can anyone clarify what would be an average power consumption for a 290 system?
