Real world performance gains from OCing 7950

I'm deciding between an MSI 7950 and a Gigabyte 7950. The Gigabyte has a locked voltage so I was wondering how much FPS gains I can have if were to overclock each card. The rest of my build is:

i5-3570k
Asus Maximus V Gene
8 gigs ram
500gb HDD

Depends! Remember, not every single chip will be the same. One sometimes can overclock higher than the other. Overclocking can always be very beneficial as it can just give that little "boost" to make the game run smoothly.

You'd want the MSI because you'd be able to increase the voltage to furthermore increase the core clocks.

Typically between 10-20% is what you can expect from overclocking depending on how far you push it, it really does make a difference.

MSI hands down, you'll be kicking yourself for buying a voltage locked card down the track if you do.
