[SOLVED] Realistic expectations

Both my rigs are in my sig. It seems when i play games like BF5 which are cpu heavey the game seems to feel more fluid on my desktop over my laptop. The CPUs on paper are pretty much on par with each other. The Ram is different my laptop is Cas 20 while my desktop is 16 both are 3200.

The 9900k is in my desktop and running amazing at stock max temp in bf5 so s 68c my laptop had 10700k and 3080 mobile which is basically a 3060ti on Narvik the laptop just seems to not be as buttery as my desktop

My laptop has 300hz with gsync could it be the difference in ram timings ?

No the ram things are unlikely to cause issues. The monitor might explain it. 300hz if you can achieve is going to feel very smooth.
