after looking though a few forum posts and countless websites, I've come to notice that there is a lot of misleading enthusiasm towards rendering for content production. my scenario, i want to do content and video production daily... and my current cpu... dual core amd a8 6500 (two physical core for those that think its quad cored...) so i need a new cpu, don't worry about a motherboard for those saying i need like some pricey motherboard just to do some simple video rendering, next to no video effects going into the video, just a fade in and fade out, and some add ons like lower thirds.

so all i want is a cpu for video rendering, i do play games on pc, such as minecraft, but as far as i know, its starting to become less of a cpu demanding game and focuses much more on the other components in the system, and im not looking to render videos in under 20 second.

i don't care how long the render takes, as long as it doesn't take 10-20 minutes to render a minute long video, which my current cpu does.

I don't care what manufacturer it is... im not pushed towards one maker.

I don't care how much energy it consumes, and how much heat it produces

Thanks in advance! ;D

I would get a LGA 1150 MB, at least an i5 CPU (preferably an i7) and a 2x8GB memory kit. Set the computer power settings to the highest levels when rendering and you should have great performance. No need for a full Z97 board. A B85, H87 or the like will work.

EDIT:
No real need for a "K" version CPU either.

3 parts- CPU, motherboard, and RAM. No other parts because you did not specify what your needs were for the other components.

i have looked at xeons before, and i see that they have the same performance of an i7 but at the same price as a low end i7 in the uk, i do have a graphics card at the minuite, i have a 750ti, and i also wanted to save some money, as i will need a bigger power supply, so i was thinking about maybe a FX 8350, as i will be doing a fair bit of livestreaming on twitch as well, as stated above, i want to save money, performance is necessary, but like stated, i dont mind taking a breather away from my computer to do other things. what has been said will be taken it into consideration though

Ram isnt needed as i did mention i do already have a system, i can just cannibalise parts from it, so that takes you to $300 for you, as for me its gonna cost me about £250, with a motherboard change

i can take some other parts out my current rig, i can add other stuff in the future, i just need a motherboard and a cpu, preferably cheaper, i dont mind what brand, i just need it to be cost effective at the minuite. i do agree that intel is quite arguably good for their price, but its just cost at the end of the day... if you could find something for me thats cheap and cost effective, ill use it ;D

i have a few partslists that i can show, keeping in mind that ill be livestreaming, recording and rendering, separately that is... not all at the same time lol

intel partslist
CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor (£157.99 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£66.17 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £224.16

amd partslist.
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor (£128.00 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£51.00 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £179.00

for cost affordability, what partslist would be more effecient for the cost of it?

also check out this PSU for the price

GIGABYTE GA-Z97-HD3

This board is only $79.99 after a $20 rebate now.

Or:

Pick from these i5 CPU's:

Intel CPU's cost but you will have peace of mind and IMO, they are worth it. I plan on using my i7-3770 for years to come. Your 750ti GPU will be OK. It's the CPU and amount of memory that you need to consider.

OK, a FX 8350 would be fine for your needs, but keep in mind it's on a far older platform. Now is perhaps the worst time to buy any CPU, especially from AMD. If you really need to cut costs then a FX 8 core would probably be best for your needs.
