Hi. I have a relatively new (since January) system that I built myself, despite not really knowing what I'm doing. It's working pretty well, except that the fonts in PDF files are horrible. I mean really bad, like I get equal signs where only one of the lines is even visible (that is, it looks like a minus sign). What I want to know is if this is because I went with a low-end graphics card, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 710, or something else and what can I do about it?

What detail do you need?

The first linked document is being viewed in your browser using the fonts resident on your system. Your system doesn't have the requested font/s on board and so substitutes with what is resident. Whereas the PDF has the required font/s embedded in the document itself (No, you cannot extract the font/s from the PDF and use them on your system).
